Kelly Sherwin
LSW, M.Ed.
Ms. Kelly Sherwin, LSW, MEd (she/her) is a licensed social worker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Princeton University, Master of Education from Harvard University, and Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University.
Kelly works with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and adults who experience a range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, academic struggles, and social-emotional challenges. Her practice blends evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation in service of each client’s unique situation and goals. She takes a nonjudgmental and empathic approach to patterns of behavior that inhibit clients from living with meaning, ease, and joy. She finds that humor and creativity in sessions can be supportive adjuncts to evidence-based work and believes that rapport between client and clinician is paramount to the helping process.
Previously, Kelly worked as an educator in independent schools for over 15 years. She has completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
On a personal note, Kelly enjoys life as a single mom to her daughter. An ardent dog lover and outdoor enthusiast with a notoriously terrible sense of direction, she spends her free time running and weight lifting, experimenting in her garden, and cooking for friends and family. She also finds great pleasure in overanalyzing prestige TV.
